Cuddle Bundles is a family support program that provides gifts of babywear and accessories to families from all cultures and communities with limited means, who have new or young babies. Referrals are received from social workers in local women’s refuges, shelters, maternity hospitals, rehabilitation centres, First Nations support networks, refugee agencies and community centres in Sydney.
Further afield, Cuddle Bundles regularly supports been sent to CALD in Nowra, to Winmalee Neighbourhood Centre in the Blue Mountains, and interstate to refugees in Melbourne and various regional communities like Yuendumu Childcare Centre in the Northern Territory. Overseas, we have helped communities, with shipping and distribution via charity partners, in South Africa, Ethiopia, The Congo, Nepal and India amongst others. We respond to humanitarian aid when disasters arise, having sent babywear and blankets to Taree, and abroad to Mozambique, Syria and recently to Turkiye, Israel and Morocco.
Cuddle Bundles is yet another example of NCJW NSW’s vision in action: Jewish women donating their time, partnering with organisations to support women and children in need – making a difference together.
