Davina Ash (nee Chiert) was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and emigrated with her parents to Sydney, Australia in 1980. She studied a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) and completed a Graduate Diploma in (Science) Psychology in 1998. In 1999, she joined her family’s business, and while working full-time studied an Accounting Certificate at TAFE, graduating with a Distinction.

After having two beautiful children, unfortunately in 2014 Davina was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She underwent 18 months of active treatment including Chemotherapy and Radiation and continues to be on medication until the present day.

In October 2021, Davina took over the role of Chair of the Jewish Women’s Breast Cancer Network at NCJW NSW. She wanted to give the group a Hebrew name and decided on ‘Tikvah V’Or’ – which means Hope and Light. The group connects women with breast and other cancers, as well as providing education and information.

Davina was elected to the NCJW NSW Board in November 2022.
